How it went

The sale ran three days across the weekend. Turnout was strong from the first hour on Saturday, with 311 people through the house on day one alone.

Highest-performing categories were furniture and mid-century ceramics. Notable sales included a Herman Miller Eames lounge chair for $2,400 and a Meissen porcelain plate set for $1,800.

Books and linens moved slowly, as expected for the season. We discounted both categories 25% on Sunday afternoon and cleared most of the remaining stock by Monday noon.

The house was left broom-clean on Monday evening. Donation receipts for all remaining goods are attached to this statement.
